Certified Lighting Specialist Patty Svirsky is a talented lighting designer with more than 35 years’ experience developing lighting design plans that include both functional architectural and stylish decorative lighting. Patty’s vast and comprehensive knowledge of all things lighting equips her to determine the breadth of projects and to identify the specific needs of each, which ensures projects run smoothly for architects, designers, and tradespeople as well as homeowners. Patty began her lighting design career at a local lighting store right after graduation, where she was promoted to sales manager in a few short months, and she thrived and excelled at developing long standing relationships with industry members and clients alike. As lighting buyer and co-curator of the spectacular Lucia Lighting & Design showroom, Patty partners with Lucy to ensure Lucia Lighting & Design showcases current and leading-edge lighting in every style that interior designers and homeowners seek.
What was your first job in lighting design?
A sales position with a lighting company with three showrooms and a warehouse in Massachusetts. I learned about lighting, industry, and helping clients find the right fixtures for their homes and it was in this position that I enjoyed so much that I found my calling.
What makes you unique in this profession?
I can quickly and easily envision the finished project and I work closely with our clients to fulfill their vision.
